So this is the 'change' people voted for?

I am an independent voter who has voted for Republicans about two-thirds of the time.

I did not vote for President Obama, though I sincerely hoped he would become one of our best presidents.

It is now quite apparent that we have that "change we can believe in," though I wonder if it is really what the 53 percent majority thought it was voting for.

Our national debt has been increased by trillions of dollars, and the administration includes lobbyists and tax cheats.

How did this happen? Well, I think I know! The cult-like worship of candidate Obama that was so prevalent in the press added to the constant scapegoating of President Bush, added to all the pandering to the dissatisfied entitled, and the sum was an election in favor of the least qualified of all the candidates of either party.

Slick rhetoric and great marketing prevailed, because so many in our nation are unwilling to give reasoned debate the same time they give to celebrity worship.

After listening to President Obama complain about obstructionist Republicans, it is apparent that he is nourished by the idolization and seems incensed that anyone would have the temerity to disagree with anything he says.

Please look at what is being done by the Obama administration with the same critical eye used to examine the Bush administration's activities.

Our country requires it, and to do anything less imperils our legacy to future generations.

May God bless America. I fear she needs it now more than at any time since our coming together as a nation.
