Caller Should Have Remained Silent

I received a telephone call from a self-described Liberal Democrat after the publication of my last Letter to the Editor -- Elections Matter.

He called from an “unknown” number and had nothing of substance to say other than how great it was for him to watch “the total destruction of the Republican party”.

I suspect the drugs he purchased with his Food Stamp money was not mellowing him out as he expected. He did have enough coherence to label me loudly with a number of disparaging terms, which I found quite amusing.

His inability to support his opinion with any kind of definitive statement concerning positive impacts on our nation due to the Democratic Party was typical of the far-left. Their approach -- when in doubt, SHOUT. And when shouting -- don’t use facts, use personal attacks.

Perhaps the caller and others of his ilk should take advice from the oft used quote – “It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt”.
